Lighthouse Business Manager Customers

Customers Overview
Note: For this version, this feature is not yet available for all merchants.
A customer identification token (Card Token) can be automatically created as part of a payment request or manually input by a user, and allows different transactions to be linked under one customer flag.
Using the Customer Page, users can find a customer's full transaction history and explore customer profiles. This allows them to create and maintain block/allow lists, create business insights, and drive marketing campaigns.
The Customer Page data can be viewed on the screen or exported if desired.
Accessing the Customers Page
To navigate to the Customers Page section, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM) and select Customers from the left navigation menu.
Using the Customers Page
The Customers Page allows a user to choose what data they want to see and how they access it by the use of filters, search options, and export tools found in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Additional details can also be seen by selecting an individual record from the list. Once selected, a pop-up will appear on the right side of the screen.
The Customers Page contains the following columns:

| 3 | Card Token | Unique card identifier that links individual transactions to a customer |
| 4 | Card Number | Card information that includes credit/debit cards issuer and last four digits of the card |
| 5 | Create Date | Date when the customer performed their first transaction |
| 6 | Total Spent | Total payment amount the customer has spent |
Filtering Customers
On screen customer data can be narrowed down by applying a filter.
First, select a filter you wish to use by clicking the Filter option in the top left window of the main screen.
A Customer Filter Slider pop-up will appear on the right side of the screen, allowing the user to select from the following available filters:
- Created Date
- Select a range of dates
- Total Spent
- Select a minimum $ and maximum $ amount
Once you have selected your files, select the filter button in the bottom right corner of the Customer Filter Slider window or the reset button to clear out the filters up have just selected.
To close the Customer Filter Slider, select the X in the top right corner of the screen.
Searching Customers
In the top navigation bar of the main Customers Page window, a magnifying glass and the text ‘Search Customer’ are available to allow a user to search for a particular customer.
By clicking the search icon, the user is presented with the option to type in search criteria.
Once some text has been entered into the ‘Search Customer’ box, a user has the option to submit the text they have entered or to use a suggested filter.
The options for suggested filters are:
- Name
- Credit Card
Customers Detail Window
The Customers Page Detail Window allows you to perform a more in-depth look at a customer on the Customers Page.
Selecting any of the records on the customer page will open up a detailed pop-up window, which can be dismissed at any point by selecting the 'X' in the top right corner of the page.
Customers Summary Bar
The Customers Page Detail Window contains an information bar that displays summarized data for the selected customer. It is broken down into the following tiles:
- Spent: Total money spent by the customer
- Since: Date when the customer recorded their first transaction
- Name: Count of names linked to this customer
- Email: Count of email addresses linked to this customer
- IP: Count of IP addresses linked to this customer
- Reference ID: Unique reference number linked to this customer
Note: Some of the tiles have colored indicators showing current status.
- Green: Good / Normal
- Yellow: Caution (e.g., A higher than normal IP address count)
- Red: Warning (e.g., the email address is currently on the block list)
Customers Detail Section
The center of the page has more in-depth information about the customer. This includes:
- Customer Detail
- Name:
- Card Token:
- Customer Reference:
- Email:
- Phone:
- Profile Data
- Created:
- IP Address:
- Last Risk Score:
- Last 3DS Status:
- Payment Details
- Credit Card:
- Billing Name:
- Billing Address:
- Billing Zip:
Customers Linked Transactions Table
When the Customer Page Detail Window is expanded, at the bottom of the main window will be a table view of linked transactions to that particular customer. The table shows the following details:
- Date
- Amount
- Order Status
- Transaction ID
- Type
- Risk
Using the navigation pane on the right side of the screen above the table, there is are tools that allow you to:
- Search the linked customer transactions
- Export the customer transactions (Excel or CSV)
- Create a transaction (shortcut to the create a new transaction page)
Customers Page Transaction Slider
Finally, selecting a row in the table allows for a more in-depth look at the linked transactions. This will initiate the Customers Page Transaction Slider to appear on the right side of the screen.
The Customer Page Transaction Slider contains additional information about the particular transaction chosen on the Customer Page Detail and can be closed at any time by selecting the X in the top right corner.
The Slider contains the following information:
- Date
- Transaction ID
- Card Token
- Credit Card
- Order Status
- Acquirer Response
- Order Type
The Slider also has a link to the Trust and Block Rules page via the Manage Blocked Data link on the screen. This section will allow a user to add the email address to the trust or block list, or mark it as flagged, so further transactions will have a visual indicator that they need to be reviewed.

View the Customer Database
Log in to Lighthouse Business Manager and select Customers > Customer Database from the left navigation menu.
Import the Customer List
To begin managing your customer data in the system, you’ll first need to import the complete customer list.
- To import existing customer contact information, utilize the downloadable template located under the Import Contacts button.
Note: You can upload this file in any format, but it needs to follow this template to ensure the correct format and editing is easier. For best results, break the file into groups of 100 customers rather than importing all records at once.
Note: While editing the template, remove any dashes, dots, or parentheses from phone numbers. - Once the information is added to the template, select the Import Customers button again to begin the upload process.
- From this screen, the user can download a template or select Choose File to upload a completed template. The following file types are supported:
- CSV
- TSV
- XLS
- XLSX
- Drag and drop the file to the screen or select the Choose File button. Once the template is added, confirm the information in the "Map Data" section by selecting Next. Import the data to complete the process.
Export the Customer List
To create a downloadable copy of your customer data, start by exporting the customer list.
- In the Customer Database, select Export.
- Select the format that's needed, and the download will begin automatically. The following file types are supported:
- CSV
- Excel
- PDF
Add a New Customer
The Create New Customer option allows the user to add customers without a template manually. The following information can be added in this section:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Numbers: Multiples can be added by clicking on the Add Phone Number link (enter numbers only - do not include dashes, dots, or parentheses)
- Emails: Multiple can be added by clicking on the Add Email link
- Customer Addresses: Multiple can be added by clicking on the Add Address link
- Comment
Note: By selecting a customer from the list, it's possible to edit or delete them.
