Description: The following instructions will help you set up a new instance in BlueStacks 5 for the purposes of demonstrating the SkyTab Kitchen Display System.
- Setting up a Pie Instance in BlueStacks
- Configuring the Instance
- Launch the KDS and set to Demo Mode
Our Product team is proud to announce our new Demo Mode for KDS!
This allows the ability to demonstrate the KDS functionality independently without the need for a networked POS. This also means it can now be demonstrated easily in an Android emulator like BlueStacks 5.
Note: Demo Mode is only available in KDS 1.90 or later.
Setting up a Pie Instance in BlueStacks
-
Open the Multi-Instance Manager in BlueStacks. Click the blue Instance button on the bottom to create a new instance, but this time use Pie 64-bit (KO does not run on Nougat).
-
If you receive an error message asking to disable Hyper V, click here for different ways to disable Hyper V. You will need to disable Hyper V to install the 64-bit Pie instance.
-
BlueStacks may prompt you to download additional files for the new Pie instance.
-
Set the Instance configuration to the following:
-
CPU Cores = Medium
-
Memory allocation = Medium
-
Resolution = Landscape 1920 x 1080,
-
ABI Settings = x86 & ARM
