Introduction
Menu Manager allows users to add and manage a single image across multiple solutions. We do this by using a cropping overlay to support different aspect ratios.
The aspect ratio of an image is the ratio of its width to its height and is expressed with two numbers separated by a colon, such as 16:9, sixteen-to-nine. This flexibility mitigates the need to upload and manage different images where merchants use multiple online ordering integrations, each with different image requirements. For example, both DoorDash and Uber Eats support a 16:9 ratio and a 1:1 ratio, respectively.
Prerequisite
-
To perform this function, you must have Administrator or Manager level permission in Lighthouse Business Manager with the “Access Marketplace” sub-permission enabled.
-
An Online Ordering Integration (i.e., DoorDash, Uber Eats, SkyTab Online, etc.) must be installed from Marketplace to enable Menu Manager.
-
POS Items have already been imported into Menu Manager.
Navigation
- Login to Lighthouse Business Manager.
- Select Marketplace on the left navigation menu.
- Select Menu Manager.
Uploading an Image
To upload a new image, select the item from the menu, then scroll down to the Image section from the Edit Item screen. Select the Upload Photo button.
Once uploading is complete, the ‘Cropping Image’ tool will appear with the new image appearing in the center with an overlay on top of it. After modifications or if no other actions are needed, select the Done button to complete. Select Save on the Edit Item screen when finished.
Edit an Image
To edit a new image, select the item from the menu, then scroll down to the Image section from the Edit Item screen. Select the Edit Photo button. After modifications or if no other actions are needed, select the Done button to complete the process. Select Save on the Edit Item screen when finished.
Using the Cropping Tool
Once an image is uploaded to Menu Manager, a user has the ability to adjust the image sizing using the 'Cropping Image' tool.
The overlay depicts two aspect ratios: the inner overlay is 1:1, and the outer overlay is 16:9. The third-party online ordering integration (e.g., Uber Eats, and DoorDash) utilizes any part of the image within these two ratios.
Both the overlay and the image zoom function can get utilized together to adjust and optimize the image to the desired height and width.
Below is an example of expanding the overlay.
Below is an example of using the zoom function with the overlay.
After any modifications, select the "Done" button to return to the Edit Item screen and select the Save button to complete to return to the menu.

Things to Know
-
Both DoorDash and Uber Eats have a process of approving images before they are published. This process can take upwards of five (5) business days to approve. You should not expect to see newly uploaded images until the review process is completed.
-
If new image submissions are rejected, any existing image prior to the submission will remain in place.
-
DoorDash supports JPG|JPEG|PNG formats, 16:9 aspect ratio.
-
Uber Eats supports JPG|PNG formats, 1:1 aspect ratio.
-
DoorDash does not currently support a one-step synchronization process when images are deleted from Menu Manager. This is a limitation with DoorDash. Deleting an item image in Menu Manager does not automatically delete the same image from DoorDash. DoorDash requires merchants to additionally deleted the image from the DoorDash Portal. This does not affect the replacement of images only those that are completed deleted and not replaced with a new image.
