Description: Review how to edit your settings which includes your account, business settings, users, location, and two-factor authentication in Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM).
To watch more how-to videos, visit our video section.
To access these settings, log in to the LBM and select Settings located on the left navigation panel.
Account
Selecting Account displays your information as the owner of the Lighthouse account. It will show your first and last name by default, as well as the email attached to the account. Changing the Email changes the email used to log into Lighthouse, so you will be logged out after changing emails requiring you to log in with the new email.
Choose your Dashboard Layout configuration for either charts or tables, then designate your default as either the current or last business day.
This page will also allow you to change your Lighthouse password by entering the current password and then two instances of the new password. Changing the password will also log you out and require you to log in using the new password. Select Update Account at the bottom of the screen to commit any changes.
Settings
Preferences allow you to edit some of the default functionality of Lighthouse, including:
-
Start of Day: Is independent of all terminals on your Lighthouse account.; the default End of Day is 04:00 am
- For businesses open later than this, it is important to set this to a time after the business closes for accurate reporting.
- Start of Week: Allows you to determine which day of the week the merchant's reporting will start on
- Time Zone Preference: Able to either Automatically detect the browser's time zone or select the time zone from the drop-down list.
- Display Chart or Table: Controls the dashboard sales data presentation with two Chart or Table (Note: This setting only works if you are in Legacy view.)
-
Current/Last Business Day Default: Select which sales data to view on the Dashboard with Current Business Day or Last Business Day
(Note: This setting only works if you are in Legacy view.)
Users
Selecting Users will allow multiple users, called "sub-users," to be added to one Lighthouse account. This is beneficial for merchants that have multiple partners, managers, or other individuals who would require access to the merchant’s information within Lighthouse. To create a new sub-user, select Add User at the top right corner of the page. The following information must be entered:
User Information: Enter the user's first name, last name, and email address to send the registration email.
Locations: Place a check in the box next to each location that this user has access to within Lighthouse.
User Permissions: Customize permissions by navigating to the User Permissions tab; place a checkmark next to any permissions that you would like the user to have
Once the information is entered, toggle the Active option to the right, and select the Create User button. This sends an email to the user with the registration link to create their account. Once complete, the Users list will show any users created for this account and allow the Admin user to edit or resend the registration email to any users as needed.
Note: Sub-users cannot add other users. This can only be done on the main Administrator login that was created for the account.
