User Permissions in the Shift4 Customer Hub

Description: Learn what each Customer Hub permission controls. By default, Admin users have access to all permissions and can grant them individually to other users as needed.

Overview

Access in the Shift4 Customer Hub is controlled by permissions, grouped by feature area. By default, Admin users have full access to all permissions and can choose to grant individual permissions to other users on the account.

Reporting

Permission	Description
Create own subscriptions	Set up recurring report deliveries (e.g., emailed reports) for yourself.
View reports	Access and run the standard reporting suite available in the Customer Hub.

Transactions

Permission	Description
View transactions	View transaction details in Transaction Manager.
Create transactions	Manually key in or initiate a new sale transaction.
Refund transactions	Process a refund or adjustment on an existing transaction.

Documents

Permission	Description
View monthly statements	Access monthly merchant billing statements.
View tax documents	Access tax forms and notices issued to the merchant.
View notices	View account notices sent to the merchant.
Manage Statement Groups	Create or edit statement groups used to consolidate statements across locations.

Dashboard

Permission	Description
View dashboard	Access the main Customer Hub dashboard overview.

Developers

Permission	Description
Manage Developer Settings	Access and configure developer-facing settings, such as API credentials or webhook configuration.

Insights

Permission	Description
View Chargeback Insights	View analytics and trends related to chargebacks on the account.
View Auth Insights	View analytics on authorization approval and decline rates.
View Card Verify Insights	View analytics related to card verification activity.
View Risk Insights	View analytics related to flagged or risk-scored transactions.

Internet Payments Disputes

Permission	Description
View Internet Payments Disputes	View disputes filed against internet/e-commerce payments.
Submit Internet Payments Dispute Evidence	Upload and submit evidence to respond to a dispute.

Business Settings

Permission	Description
Manage business settings	Edit core business configuration settings for the merchant account.
Grant business settings management	Enable other users to manage business settings.

Pay by Link

View Pay By Link transactions	View transactions collected through Pay by Link.
Manage Pay By Link URLs	Create, edit, or deactivate Pay by Link payment URLs.
Grant Pay By Link management	Allow other users to manage Pay by Link URLs.

Manage Users

Permission	Description
Manage users	Add, edit, or remove user accounts across the portal. Applies to both Customer Hub and Dine Customer Hub.
