Overview
The Void Reports provide insight into all voided transactions during a specific time period. Each report serves a different purpose:
- Void Detail by Employee tracks who performed voids and which items were involved.
- Void Summary by Reason tracks why voids were performed and how often each reason occurs.
Use these reports together to identify loss trends, review employee activity, and improve operational accountability.
Void Detail by Employee
Purpose
The Void Detail by Employee Report displays detailed information about all voided tickets within a specified date range. It lists each voided ticket, including the items on the ticket, the employee who performed the void, and the time of the void.
This report is commonly used to audit employee activity, investigate discrepancies, and monitor potential loss related to voids. It can also be referenced after reviewing reports such as the Activity Summary or Financial Overview to validate unusual trends.
Running the Report
- Log in to Lighthouse Business Manager.
- Navigate to Reporting > Reports.
- Select SkyTab POS and location(s) from the dropdowns. You can select multiple locations for this report.
- Select the Void Detail by Employee Report.
- Choose a date range.
- Select Generate. The report displays on the screen. You can also download or print it.
How the Report Organizes Data
- Data Grouping: Records are grouped by Employee Name, displayed alphabetically.
- Sorting: Tickets appear in ascending order by completion time within each employee group.

- Employee Name (first line shows total dollar amount of voids for the time period)
- Approved By
- Date and time of each void
- Ticket #
- Item Name
- Amount
- Reason
- Comments
- Total dollar amount of all voids at the end of the report

Void Summary by Reason
Purpose
The Void Summary by Reason Report provides a summarized view of all voids within a specified date range, organized by the reason for the void. It displays the total number of voids recorded for each reason as defined in the POS, along with the total dollar amount associated with those voids.
This report is typically used to identify the most frequent void reasons and evaluate whether process or training changes are needed to reduce future voids.
Running the Report
- Log in to Lighthouse Business Manager.
- Navigate to Reporting > Reports.
- Select SkyTab POS and location(s) from the dropdowns. You can select multiple locations for this report.
- Select the Void Summary by Reason report.
- Choose a date range.
- Select Generate. The report displays on the screen. You can also download or print it.
