Description: Learn how to use the Refund Details by Employee Report to review detailed information about refunds processed in the POS system. This report provides visibility into which employees processed refunds, the amounts refunded, the taxes applied, and the reasons for the refunds, helping management monitor and audit refund activity.
Purpose
The Refund Details by Employee Report displays detailed information about all refunds performed within a specified date range. Refunds are grouped by employee, showing the total refunded amount and total non-hidden taxes for each employee. A total of all refunds and taxes is provided at the end of the report.
This report is commonly used to audit employee activity, investigate unusual or excessive refunds, and track potential loss.
Running the Report
- Log in to Lighthouse Business Manager.
- Navigate to Reporting > Reports.
- Select SkyTab POS and location(s) from the dropdowns. You can select multiple locations for this report.
- Select the Refund Details by Employee report.
- Choose a date range.
- Select Generate. The report displays on the screen. You can also download or print it.
How the Report Organizes Data
- Data Grouping: Records are grouped by Employee Name, displayed alphabetically.
- Sorting: Within each employee group, refunds are ordered by Refunded At date and time.
- Displayed Details:
- Refunded At Date/time of the refund (first row per employee displays employee name along with totals)
- Ticket #
- Type of refund
- Refund amount (displayed as a negative dollar value)
- Tax amount (not hidden)
- Reason
- Comments
- A total of all refunded amounts and total taxes appears at the bottom of the report.
- Selection Criteria:
- Includes refunds from ticket payments, ticket item refunds, tickets, employees, and associated reasons
- Based on the selected date range
