Create a Preparable Item for SkyTab KDS

Description: Follow the steps below to create a preparable item for SkyTab KDS.

1. Log into the Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM).
   
2. In LBM, navigate to Devices > Kitchen Display System > Preparable Items using the left menu. 
   
   
3. Select the Create Preparable Item button in the upper right part of the screen on the Kitchen Display System.
   

4. Enter a Name for the ingredient. For example, you could enter "Burger Patty" for burger ingredients to add to your burger items.
   

5. Select the Manage Items or Manage Modifiers button, depending on your needs. You may either select the checkbox to add the ingredient to all of the items in a department or expand the department and individually select items.

   For modifiers, you can select either an entire modifier set or expand to select individual modifiers. In most cases, you will want to select individual modifiers.
   

6. When you are done, select the Save button.

7. If your menu item requires more than one of your ingredients, use the Quantity box to set the number of ingredients needed for the item.
   

8. After you have set the menu items or modifiers for your ingredient, choose either Save or Save & Duplicate.

   • Use "Save" if this is the only ingredient you will need for your menu item.

   • Use "Save & Duplicate" if your menu item has more than one ingredient that you need to show on your SkyTab KDS. When you Save & Duplicate, you need to edit the ingredient name, add or remove menu items or modifiers, and set quantities as needed.
