Enable Guest Notifications from the Kitchen Display System on the Workstation for Shift4 Dine

Description: Learn how to configure Shift4 Dine to automatically send guest notifications when orders are marked complete in the Kitchen Display System.

Note: You need manager permissions to complete this procedure.

To enable guest notifications:

1. On your Workstation, navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware, then tap on the Printers/KDS tab.
   
2. From your printer list on the left, select the Kitchen Display System station that you want to send a notification from when the order is completed. This is typically an expo station.
   
3. Tap on the Guest Notifications tab.
   
4. Tap the + (plus sign) in the field next to an Order Type, then assign a notification type under "Not Assigned" by tapping on it to move it to the Assigned column.
   
5. Tap OK when you're finished.
6. On the Guest Notifications screen, you should now see your assigned notification types. Tap Save to save your changes.
