Description: Shift4 Payment Connector installation package is made up of two zip files containing many sub files and folders within it. The primary files that make up the payment connector are:
Backoffice Package: This package contains the logic for the connector to be used in the Call Center environment.
- Important: This package was built as an Application Object Tree (AOT); as such it must be loaded first as it contains all of the definitions of elements that are used to build the payment connector into Microsoft Dynamics, such as its classes, tables, forms, and most importantly, the core functionalities for the connector to be used in the Call Center environment.
Commerce Package: This package contains the logic for Commerce POS and eCommerce environments.
- Important: If you intend to use the connector for Commerce POS and/or eCommerce, the Backoffice Package is required to be installed because it contains additional logics and components which are necessary for the configuration of the payment connector.

Alternatively, the installation can be done via Command Line. This approach is more common with Locally Hosted VMs not synced with LCS. Do not perform these steps if you're deploying the Payment Connector packages via LCS.
