Description: Learn how to initialize SkyTab Mobile for a SkyTab POS workstation installation.
Access Settings
- Touch the home button.
- Tap on the Settings icon.
- Password is either - 9876 or pax9876@@.
- Tap OK.
Setup Wi-Fi
- Tap WLAN.
- If the slider is switched off, tap it to turn on WLAN (Wi-Fi).
- Select your WiFi network.
- Enter the password, then tap CONNECT.
- Once connected, press the back arrow to return to the main settings screen.
Verify Date, Time and Time Zone

On the main setting screen, select Date & Time.
- Confirm that the slider for Automatic date & time is ON.
- Turn OFF the slider for the Automatic time zone.
- Touch Select time zone and set the time zone to your local time.
- Turn OFF the slider for Use 24-hour format.
- Touch the Home button to return to the home screen.
PAXSTORE App
- Tap on the PAXSTORE app.
- The PAXSTORE app will launch, but the installed version of PAXSTORE is typically outdated. The PAXSTORE app will immediately begin to download the latest version and will close by itself and update.
- Wait a minute or 2 for the PAXSTORE app to update, and then re-launch the PAXSTORE app.
- If a prompt displays asking to agree to the IZat location services, touch accept/agree.
- The terminal will now begin downloading the apps: SkyTab, SkyTab SOLO and PAX BroadPOS Shift4.
- If the terminal fails to download any of the apps or says login failed, follow one of the troubleshooting steps.
Note: BE PATIENT!!!! The apps can take a few minutes to download. If the apps fail to download after a while, try one of the troubleshooting steps.
Apps Aren't Downloading Option 1
Double Tap On The PAX Logo
- With the PAXSTORE app open on the main screen, tap on the 3-line menu button on the top left of the screen.
- Tap twice on the large PAX logo on the top center of the screen. The terminal will briefly pop up "Synchronizing tasks," and usually, the terminal will ding.
- Continue to occasionally double-tap on the PAX logo to motivate the terminal until all apps and processing parameters have been downloaded.
- This step may continue not to work; if so, try an alternate solution.
Apps Aren't Downloading Option 2
Reboot the A930
- Press and hold the power button on the top right of the screen of the A930.
- Touch Reboot. The terminal will power off and back on.
- Once the A930 has powered on, touch PAXSTORE to relaunch the app, and it will begin downloading. If it does not, try an alternate solution.
Apps Aren't Downloading Option 3
Force Stop The PAXSTORE App
If you tried the other troubleshooting steps and neither worked:
- Press the Home key on the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Swipe up and tap Apps.
- Swipe up and Tap PAXSTORE.
- Tap Force Stop.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear Data.
- When asked, "Delete app data?" tap OK.
- Touch The Home Key.
- Tap PAXSTORE.
This process causes PAXSTORE to act as if it was just launched for the first time and will re-trigger the app to download any incomplete tasks.
