Description: This guide will cover the steps that need to be performed to download and initialize the software for SkyTab POS after it has been powered on for the first time.
IMPORTANT: Please do these steps in order!
If you are a Shift4 employee and have access to the Install Checks Form, please add the necessary screenshots. This is MANDATORY for Shift4 employees and should be completed as you go, and not done after you leave the site!
This guide should ONLY be used after the physical install is complete and devices are powered on/online.
- Confirm/Upgrade Firmware
- Confirm Hub Serial Number: Confirm last 4 of Hub serial number on the Install Checks Form, if you have access to it.
- Confirm/Configure Automatic Date/Time/Timezone
- Disable Petunia Application
- Confirm/Configure Display Settings
- Confirm/Configure Screen Lock
- Download From PAXSTORE
- Allow SkyTab POS To Install Apps From Unknown Sources
- Allow "Display Over Other Apps" on Select SkyTab Glass and POS Workstations
- Push Updates to Shift4 App
- Launch and Sync SkyTab POS Software
- Optional Accessory: Q25 PIN Pad
- Accessory: SkyTab Mobile
- Accessory: Remote Printers
- No SkyTab Mobile or Remote Printers: This completes the SkyTab POS Software Initialization Steps. If you are a Work Market technician, please call your installation contact to have them test the systems. If you are an internal S4 technician, you can now begin your testing checklist.
