Description: The following procedure will walk you through how to create an Access Token for Channel.
A new access token will need to be generated from channel payment parameters, and this can only be done after the Payment Services for the Shift4 Connector is created. To do so, you will need to perform the steps here.
To create an access token:
- Navigate to Modules > Retail and Commerce > Shift4payments > Channel payment parameters.
- Select New.
- From the Channel dropdown, select the intended call center channel.
- Enter the Auth token for the merchant account associated with this channel.
- Select Save.
- Select Perform access token exchange.
- Once these steps are completed, navigate back to Payment Services and add the Access Token to the required field.
- Upon completing these steps, if the integration you’re working with is using Retail MPOS/CPOS or eCommerce, you will need to go through the configuration of these as well.
