Create or Edit Modifiers or Modifier Sets in the Shift4 Dine Customer Hub

Create a New Modifier

1. Log in to the Customer Hub,  and go to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifiers.
    
2. From the Modifiers tab, press the blue Add Modifier button on the top right corner of the screen.
   
    
3. On the New Modifier screen, fill in the required fields.
    
4.  Create the modifier by pressing the blue Save button at the bottom right of the screen.

Edit an Existing Modifier

1. Log in to the Customer Hub, and go to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifiers.
2. Select the modifier you want to edit from the list of modifiers or type in the modifier in the search bar.
   
3. Select the modifier.
4. Make changes in the Edit Modifier side screen.
5. Press the blue Save button on the bottom right of the screen.
   

Delete or Remove Modifier

Note: Shift4 Dine is not capable of deleting or removing modifiers once they are in the system. The only way to remove or delete modifiers from the menu is to make them inactive. 

To deactivate the modifier in the Customer Hub:

1. Navigate to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifiers.
2. Use the search bar at the top to find the item that needs to be deactivated.
3. Select the item that needs to be deactivated from the menu.
4. Slide the Active toggle in the top right OFF on the Edit Modifier screen.
5. Select the Save button in the bottom right corner.
   

Create a New Modifier Set

1. Log in to the Customer Hub, and go to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifier Sets. 
2. From the Modifier Sets tab, press the blue Add Modifier Set button in the top right corner of the screen.
    
3. On the New Modifier Set screen, fill in the required fields.
    
4.  Create the modifier set by pressing the blue Save button at the bottom right of the screen.

Edit an Existing Modifier Set

1. Log in to the Customer Hub, and go to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifier Sets.
2. Select the modifier set you want to edit from the list of modifier sets or type in the modifier set in the search bar.
   
3. Select the modifier set.
4. Make changes in the Edit Modifier Set side screen.
5. Press the blue Save button on the bottom right of the screen.
   

Delete or Remove Modifier Set

Note: Shift4 Dine is not capable of deleting or removing modifier sets once they are in the system. The only way to remove or delete modifier sets from the menu is to make them inactive. 

To deactivate the modifier set in the Customer Hub:

1. Navigate to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifier Sets.
2. Use the search bar at the top to find the modifier set that needs to be deactivated.
3. Select the modifier set that needs to be deactivated from the menu.
4. Slide the Active toggle in the top right OFF on the Edit Modifier Set screen.
5. Select the Save button in the bottom right corner.
   

Change the Modifier Price

Modifiers itself does not have a price configuration setting in the Customer Hub. The modifier pricing is configurable via Modifier Sets. To change the modifier price in Customer Hub, proceed with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Shift4 Dine > Menu > Modifier Sets
2. Locate the desired modifier set from the list and select it.
3. Select modifier price type: 
   1. Flat amount displayed as $ icon.
   2. Percentage amount displayed as % icon.
4. Select modifier price type (flat amount ($ icon) or percentage (% icon)
5. Enter modifier price value amount and press the blue Save button to confirm the changes.
6. Finally, press the blue Save button at the bottom-right of the screen.
