Description: Learn how to configure tip share suggestions for jobs that have shared responsibilities or help the service staff, with a suggested amount for each job.

Merchants can now ensure that jobs involving shared responsibilities or those expected to contribute to service staff receive a preconfigured and calculated tip amount, which is suggested for distribution among the relevant jobs.
- Suggestions appear on Employee End of Shift Reports.
- Shared amounts can be entered from the Employee Dashboard > Tip Share button.
- Amounts are recorded as a reduction of Gross Tips to Net Tips.
To create a Tip Share Suggestion Rule:
- Login to Lighthouse Business Manager, then select Employees > Manage Employees > Tip Sharing from the left navigation menu.
- Here, you can create custom Tip Share rules to define the jobs that receive tip suggestions and the jobs to which the suggested tip amount should be allocated. Select the Add Tip Sharing Rule button.
- In the Add Tip Sharing Rule window, enter the job that receives a tip sharing suggestion in the "From" field.
- Enter the job in the "To" field that the suggested amount should go to.
Note: The From and To jobs CAN be the same in the event tips need to be shared between the same Job type. For example, Bartenders share their tips equally. - Enter the % Given.
- Select if the Tip Share should be based on Total Tips, Gross Tips, or Net Tips.
- For Gross and Net Tips, place a check in the checkboxes to filter by Revenue Class.
Note: By default, all Revenue Classes are selected. However, you may want to remove some Revenue Classes that don't apply to the "share to" job. - Select Save.
Note: Multiple Tip Share rules can be configured.
