Add Tip Hints To Receipts on SkyTab POS

Configure Tip Hints for Receipts

1. Navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers/KDS.
2. Select the receipt printer where you want the tip hints to print, then select the Advanced tab.
3. Turn on the toggle for Show Tip Hints.
4. Select which of the following location(s) to display the Tip Hints: 
   • Guest Check Receipt 
   • Transaction Receipt 
   • Credit Slip
     
5. Navigate back to the General tab and set the suggested percentage (%) Tip Hints amounts you want to show on the receipt.
   Note: If any fields are left blank, they will not appear on the receipt. The information displayed in the window will be presented on your receipt in the same order.
6. For Show Calculated Totals, select the dropdown for how the tip hints are calculated when using Advantage to allow calculating on either the Cash or Non-Cash totals.
   
7. Choose whether to calculate tips using the Cash or Non-Cash totals and select Ok.
   Note: You can also configure Tip Hints to calculate on item subtotals only. For more details, visit the Calculate Tip Hints on Subtotals Only article.
   
   Select "None" to avoid printing a combined total amount and only show the suggested amount based on the cash total. 
8. Tap Save to commit the changes.

Note: Tip Hints configured here can also display on the POS screen if enabled.
