Description: Learn how to set up the Commerce Scale Unit from the Backoffice in order to use the Shift4 Connector with your Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment.

Configure the Commerce Scale Unit
- Navigate to LCS to obtain the Cloud POS & Commerce Engine URL and your Scale unit ID by performing the following steps:

Scale Unite ID
- Navigate to your Environment.
- Select Manage under Commerce.
- Navigate to System information and copy your Scale unit ID.

Commerce Engine & Cloud POS URL
- Navigate to your Environment.
- Select Manage under Commerce.
- Select Commerce Engine URL.
- Select Cloud POS URL.
- Copy the URLs.

Scale Unite ID
- Keep a record of these values, as they will be needed later on.
Configure Commerce Shared Parameters
- From the Backoffice, navigate to Retail and Commerce > Headquarters setup > Parameters > Commerce Shared Parameters.
- From the left panel, select Identity Providers.
- Select Add to add a new Identity Provider and fill in the following fields:
- Issuer: Paste your Commerce Engine URL and append /auth at the end
- Name: Enter your Scale unit ID
- Type: Select Open ID Connect
- Once your CSU Identity Provider is added, create two new entries under Relying Parties for Cloud POS and Modern POS using the following values:
- ClientId: Cloud POS & Modern POS
- Type: Public
- UserType: Worker
Configure the Channel Profile
- Once these values are added, navigate to Retail and Commerce > Channel setup > Channel profiles.
- Select New to add a new Channel profile record and enter your Scale Unit ID for the name.
- Once your Channel profile is created, select Add under Profile properties to add 2 new records for Cloud POS URL and Retail Server URL.
- Cloud POS URL: Cloud POS URL from LCS
- Retail Server URL: Commerce Engine URL from LCS and append /Commerce at the end
- Once these steps are completed, you can proceed to the next section to configure your Store and Registers to accept Payments.
