SkyTab KDS Bump Bar Installation and Setup

Install the Bump Bar Bracket

1. Attach the mounting bracket to the Bump Bar using the included small screws.
   
2. Optionally, mount the Bump Bar to the wall with the included, longer screws.
   

Connectivity Options

USB Connection - Preferred

1. Connect the Bump Bar to your device using a USB cable. The LED will briefly turn green when in USB mode.
2. Press any key to see the corresponding function on your KDS.
3. Rotate the knob to scroll through your KDS screen.

Notes:

• The green LED indicates USB communication.
• When a cable is connected, USB mode takes priority over wireless. The Bump Bar will automatically switch to USB mode when a power and data USB cable is connected, even if it starts in wireless mode.

Note for Internal Only: Bump Bar configuration and firmware updates are only available through USB mode.

Battery and Dongle Compartment

Note: This setup/usage configuration is NOT preferred and should only be used when the physical USB connection cannot be made. Wireless connections require battery operation, which, when battery life degrades, could significantly disrupt a user's operations. All attempts to utilize the wired USB type-C connection should be exhausted before attempting a wireless connection.

1. Turn the hand-tighten screw counter-clockwise to open the compartment cover.
   
2. Push to eject the compartment.
   
3. Remove the compartment to access the dongle.
   
4. Remove the dongle compartment.
   

Bluetooth Connection

1. Insert 2 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
2. If connected via USB, unplug the cable to enter wireless mode. (If a wired connection is possible, please utilize this option instead of wireless connection methods.)
3. Check the status light:
   • Blue = BLE mode
   • Yellow = 2.4G dongle mode
4. To switch to BLE mode, press the Fn and Bluetooth buttons together.

Bluetooth Pairing

• In BLE mode, the Bump Bar automatically connects to the last paired device.
• Hold the Fn and Bluetooth buttons for 3 seconds to change pairing until the LED blinks blue.
