Description: This guide provides best practices for managing the Customer-Facing Display (CFD) during offline payments, ensuring smooth transactions when the system is temporarily disconnected from the network.
- When SkyTab POS is operating in Offline Payments mode, all payments must be processed using either the built-in reader on the SkyTab POS terminal or its backup credit card PIN Pad terminal.
- For this reason, while SkyTab POS is operating in Offline Mode, the Customer Display cannot be used and must be disabled. Please follow the instructions below to disable the Customer Display to accommodate SkyTab's offline payments mode:
- On SkyTab POS, go to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Customer Display.
- Slide the toggle for Enable Remote Display to off (disabled).
- Tap Save.
Continue to process payments using the backup device (PIN Pad or Onboard Reader) until you are no longer in offline payments mode.
To return Customer-Facing Display to processing payments:
- On SkyTab POS, go to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Customer Display.
- Slide the toggle for Enable Remote Display to On (enabled).
- Tap Save.
