Description: Order types are a great way for you to organize tickets and are available for use with online ordering. Review how to add or edit Order Types for online ordering using Lighthouse below.
To set up Order types on the POS, visit the Orders Settings on SkyTab POS article.
- Navigate to SkyTab Settings > Menu.
- From the Menu pulldown, select Order Types.
- To add an order type, select the Add Order Type button near the top right of the page.
- To edit an order type, select the desired choice from the left to open the editing option on the right side of the screen.
Editing is broken down into three sections:
- Order Type Details
- Online Ordering
- Online Availability
Order Type Details
The New Order Type page contains basic information about the order type and its behaviors. Order types can be linked to their default section layout from this page and customer options and printing.
Online Ordering
The Online Ordering tab contains the information needed for order types to be used with the online ordering menu (screenshot below).
- Online Display Name: The name of the order type that shows online
- Minimum Order Amount: The least amount a customer needs to order to use this order type
- Maximum Order Amount: The largest amount a customer can order to use this order type
- Maximum Delivery Distance (Miles): The farthest distance from the location for delivery services
- Order Lead Time: The amount of time before the software receives the order
- Print Notification Slip: Yes or No
- Email Notifications: Yes or No
- SMS Notifications: Yes or No
Online Availability
Online Availability is a breakdown of days and times when the order type should be active online. This can have multiple time frame breakdowns per day.
