Prevent Customers from Ordering Sold Out Items for SkyTab POS

Description: Learn how to prevent customers from ordering items that are sold out in SkyTab POS software.

Set Up Items to Display as Sold Out on SkyTab POS or SkyTab Glass

1. Navigate to Manager > Settings > Items > Tracking.
2. Select the item.
3. Slide the toggle off (gray) for "Allow Ordering if Quantity is Zero." This will show the item as "Sold Out" on SkyTab POS Ecosystem devices (SkyTab POS, SkyTab Glass, SkyTab Mobile).
4. Tap Save.

Set Up Items to Display as Almost Sold Out on SkyTab POS or SkyTab Glass

1. Navigate to Manager > Settings > Items > Tracking.
2. Select the item.
3. Slide the toggle on (blue) for "Low Stock Indicator" and enter an amount in the "Alert at Amount" field. This will show the item as "Almost Sold Out" on SkyTab POS Ecosystem devices (SkyTab POS, SkyTab Glass, SkyTab Mobile).

Set Up Items to Display as Sold Out on Lighthouse Business Manager 

1. Navigate to LBM > SkyTab Settings.
2. From the top menu, select the Items section.
3. Select the desired item from the item list by pressing on it.
4. In the Edit Item section, scroll down to the Tracking section and enter the item Quantity on Hand.
5. Additionally in the Tracking section, disable Allow Ordering If Quantity Is Zero toggle.
6. Press the blue Save button at the bottom right corner to confirm the changes.

Set Up Items to Display as Almost Sold Out on Lighthouse Business Manager 

1. Navigate to LBM > SkyTab Settings.
2. From the top menu select the Items section.
3. Select the desired item from the item list by pressing on it.
4. Scroll down to to the Tracking section and enable the Low Stock Indicator toggle.
5. Additionally in the Tracking section disable enter the desired Alert Quantity.
6. Press the blue Save button at the bottom right corner to confirm the changes.

SkyTab Mobile (A800 or A930) device is not capable of configuring item tracking settings on the SkyTab Mobile itself. Item Tracking configuration has to be done on the SkyTab POS Terminal, SkyTab Glass (M8), or Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM).

Set Up Items to Display as Almost Sold Out on SkyTab Mobile

SkyTab Mobile (A800 or A930) device is not capable of configuring item tracking settings on the SkyTab Mobile itself. Item Tracking configuration has to be done on the SkyTab POS Terminal, SkyTab Glass (M8), or Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM).
