Process a Manual Credit Card Entry on Shift4 One

Start the Transaction

1. From the Home screen, begin the Manual Credit Card Entry process.
   
2. Enter the transaction amount using the keypad.
3. Confirm the amount, then select Pay.
   
4. When prompted to choose a tender type, select Credit/Debit.
   Note: There is no separate option for Debit and Credit card. The tender type is now automatically identified based on the card used, and this change applies globally.
   
   Important: Debit cards cannot be processed using manual entry. If a debit card number is entered, the transaction will be rejected, as debit transactions must be card-present.

Enter Card Details

1. On the next screen, select Enter Card Number at the bottom.
   
2. Tap inside the Card Number field.
   
3. When the PIN Pad appears, enter the 16-digit credit card number, then select the green arrow to continue.
   
4. Enter the expiration date in MM/YY format (4 digits), then select the green arrow.
5. Enter the security code (CVC/V-Code), then select the green arrow.
6. Enter the billing address associated with the card, then select the green arrow.
7. Enter the ZIP code associated with the card, then select the green arrow.
   

Complete the Transaction

• The system will display a processing screen while the payment is submitted.
  
• Once approved, a "Payment Successful" message will appear.
• Select the preferred receipt option to complete the transaction.
