 Lighthouse 2025w25 Release Plan
SkyTab POS Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM)
Improvements
- Improved Reports:
- Updated the Quantity column calculation in the Sales Summary by Item report to accurately reflect the total number of items sold, rather than merely counting the ticket line items.
- Revised the Profit Margin report by adjusting the calculations for the Net Sales and Average Sales Price columns. Net Sales now represents the total value of all items sold, while the Average Sales Price is calculated by dividing Net Sales by the total quantity of items sold.
Launch Control/Grow My Business/Notification Center
New Features
- Learning Hub: The Learning Hub is the next major evolution of our Launch Control + Grow My Business platform. This release blends onboarding, training, and value-added services (VAS) into a single, intuitive hub experience—designed to reduce friction, accelerate activation, and make it easier for merchants to get up and running with SkyTab.
- Blank Systems Support: This release expands Launch Control to support additional SkyTab order types where programming or installation is handled by a partner. It dynamically adjusts the onboarding workflow to hide irrelevant steps—such as menu upload or install scheduling—based on who is responsible for each part of the order. This enhancement improves flexibility and enables a consistent onboarding experience for merchants, even when orders are programmed or installed by partners.
Lighthouse Business Manager (Non-SkyTab LBM)
New Features
- For Shift4 Gift Card reporting, selecting "Reporting" in LBM now redirects to the Givex portal via seamless single sign-on (SSO), eliminating additional login steps.
Improvements
- “Name” columns were added in both PDF and Excel versions of the consolidated Monthly Statement to improve the user experience during reconciliation using these statements.
- A new pop-up message prevents creating Consolidated Monthly Statement groups with over 100 locations. This ensures performance and readability of the statement.
- Improves security by enforcing single sign-on (SSO) as the only login method for SSO-enabled users, preventing the use of standard credentials.
- Improves transaction accuracy by removing Gift Card entries from the ‘No Ticket’ layout, as Gift Card transactions now include ticket data.
- Enhances the search functionality by allowing users to search transactions using masked credit card numbers.
Bug Fixes
- “Risk” and “Risk rule” filters in Transaction Manager were fixed, so that they would be correctly visible in the user interface (UI) and would not hide behind other UI elements.
- Updated the fix to resolve the issue in the pre-authorization flow, where payments fail when duplicate capture requests are sent, preventing unexpected transaction errors
- Updated report email to be sent using the @shift4payments.com domain, fixing the issue where merchants were not able to receive report emails
- Fixed the issue where an API endpoint would perform an action based on a ticket ID without first verifying if the ticket data exists, reducing the number of POS errors
- Fixed an issue where the currency symbol was missing from the amount field on the All Transactions page; it now displays correctly.
