Description: Learn how to create and customize modifier sets in SkyTab Multi-Location Management to organize your menu across locations.
Create a Modifier Set
To create a modifier set at the Enterprise level:
- Navigate to SkyTab Settings > Menu > Modifier Sets.
- Select + Add Modifier Set to create a modifier set at the current level. The data is automatically inherited by or shared with all locations below this level.
- On the Add Modifier Set screen, enter the required fields for the modifier set name and default price. You can also optionally:
- Set a kitchen print name
- Set to print in red/bold
- Set to print the modifier set name on the customer receipt
- Set POS modifier selection (prompt, don't prompt, make required)
- Total modifiers allowed
- Set individual modifiers allowed
- Add modifiers
- Add items
- Select Save.
- Changes will need to be published to take effect on the POS.
By default, the modifier set is inherited by all locations below this level. For more information, visit the Manage Data Inheritance and Overrides article.
You can create overrides to accommodate variations at individual locations. To enable this and set the required permissions, visit the Configure Location-Level Menu Data and User Permissions article for details.
Modifier Set Sorting
Users can sort modifier sets in any order they prefer. Changes are applied immediately in SkyTab Multi-Location Management and will appear in SkyTab POS after publishing.
To sort:
- From the Modifier Set screen, select the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner.
- Select Modifier Set Sort Order.
- Drag the modifier sets up or down to reorder them.
- Select Save.
- Changes will need to be published to take effect on the POS.
Modifier Sorting Within a Set
You can also sort the individual modifiers within a modifier set during creation or editing. This defines the order in which modifiers appear on the POS.
To sort:
- While creating or editing a modifier set, scroll to the Modifiers section.
- Slide the toggle to enable Sort.
- Use the drag handles next to each modifier to reorder them.
- Select Save.
- Changes will need to be published to take effect on the POS.
