Description: Learn how to use the bulk edit feature to quickly update multiple Items, Modifiers, or Modifier Sets at once, including assigning Taxes and Modifier sets in bulk. This feature simplifies management and reduces repetitive updates by allowing you to apply the same changes across many records simultaneously.
Overview
The bulk edit feature allows you to update multiple Items, Modifiers, or Modifier Sets in a single action. This is especially useful when applying consistent tax rules, updating modifier set assignments, or adjusting shared attributes across many rows at once.
The following fields are editable:
Taxes (assign or remove)
Modifier Set Assignments
Existing editable fields, such as price and visibility, etc.
Using Bulk Edit
- Select multiple rows:
- Set the ownership filter to Local. Bulk edit is only available for data you own.
- Select the checkbox next to each Item, Modifier, or Modifier Set you want to update.
- The Bulk Edit button becomes active once more than one row is selected.
- Choose fields and values:
- Select Bulk Edit. You will be presented with a list of fields eligible for bulk editing, including:
- Taxes
- Modifier Set Assignment
- Other available editable attributes
- Select the fields you want to modify, then enter the value to be applied to all selected rows.
- Select Bulk Edit. You will be presented with a list of fields eligible for bulk editing, including:
- Review changes:
- Before confirming, you can review the rows selected and the values to be updated.
- Select Confirm to apply the changes to all selected Items, Modifiers, or Modifier Sets.
Notes:
- Bulk edit is currently limited to Items, Modifiers, and Modifier Sets.
- Newly added capabilities include bulk tax assignment and bulk modifier set assignment.
- Future releases will expand bulk edit to additional settings.
