Description: Learn how to create and customize gratuities in SkyTab Multi-Location Management, including options to define the amount, revenue class, guest count, receipt printing, and order type filters.
Gratuity auto applies to the customer check based on the rules provided, such as Revenue Class, Guest Count, and Order Type.
Create a Gratuity
To create a gratuity at the Enterprise level:
- Navigate to SkyTab Settings > Accounting > Gratuities.
- Select + Add Gratuity.
- On the Add Gratuity screen, enter the required gratuity name, amount, revenue class, and guest count. You can also optionally:
- Print the gratuity name on the receipt
- Filter by order type
- Select Save.
- Changes will need to be published to take effect on the POS.
By default, gratuities are inherited by all locations below this level. For more information, visit the Manage Data Inheritance and Overrides article.
You can create overrides to accommodate variations at individual locations. To enable this and set the required permissions, visit the Configure Location-Level Menu Data and User Permissions article for details.
