Description: Learn what the manual capture feature is, its benefits, and when the Capture button appears in Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM) Transaction Manager.
Overview
The new manual capture feature in Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM) empowers your business with greater flexibility, accuracy, and control over authorized payments. This functionality allows you to capture pre-authorized transactions directly from the LBM portal, on your terms.
Benefits
- Flexibility: Choose to capture the full pre-authorized amount or a custom amount.
- Control: Apply post-checkout adjustments, add charges, or finalize reservation deposits.
- Accuracy: Ensure you only capture the amount you need, no more, no less.
This is ideal for use cases like:
- Reservation holds and deposits
- Post-checkout adjustments
- Adding incidental or additional charges
- Any scenario requiring an authorization rather than a direct sale
How It Works
Eligible transactions in LBM Transaction Manager will display a Capture button.
- Eligible transactions are those with an active, uncaptured pre-authorization.
- Selecting this option allows you to capture the pre-authorized amount or specify a different amount, based on your business needs.
