Step 1: Access the Batch Totals Report
- Navigate to Settings > Business Settings.
- Select View Batch Totals for the relevant business date.
The Batch Totals report is based on the business date of transactions. It organizes transactions by card brand (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and transaction type (sales or refunds). The Net Amount column shows the total of sales minus refunds for each group.
Note: For American Express, depending on your account setup, Amex transactions may be funded separately. They might appear in your Batched data but not in your final Settled and Payout amount.
Step 2: Validate Transactions and Totals
To validate the aggregate batch amount, you can view the specific transactions that make up the total:
- Select View transactions on the Batch Totals report.
- You will be redirected to the transactions manager view with pre-set filters for the batch business date and capture transactions.
Compare the batch totals or the transaction list to the records in your property management system (PMS) to validate the amounts.
Note: After a manual batch close, the event status of transactions changes to "Sent for settlement." The status will update again once the transaction is finalized (settled, declined, etc.).
