Micros Res 3700 v4.0 and above

In Micros Res 3700 v4.0 and above, Micros has moved the "credit card service" out of the Micros Control Panel and has it run as a Windows Services.

To start or stop the Credit Card Service:

1. Open the Run Window by pressing the Windows Key + R.
2. Open the Windows Services by entering services.msc in the Run window and click OK.
3. In the Services window, locate the Micros Credit Card Service.
4. Right-click the service name and choose Start or Stop.

Note: It is often best to stop the service and then start it instead of choosing the restart option, as restart does not stop the driver completely.

Legacy Micros Res 3700 v3.2 or lower

To Stop the Credit Card Service:

1. Open the Micros Control Panel in the Windows start menu under Programs > MICROS Applications > MICROS Control Panel.
2. In the MICROS Control Panel, click the + sign next to the Micros server name and highlight Credit Card Service.
3. On the right side of the Control Panel, there are Off and On buttons.
4. Click the Off button and then OK in the prompt box.
5. The Credit Card Service will now have a RED X.

To Start the Credit Card Service:

1. With the Micros Control Panel already open, highlight the Credit Card Service.
2. On the right side of the Control Panel, there are Off and On buttons.
3. Click the On button and then OK in the prompt box.
4. The Credit Card Service will now have a GREEN checkmark.
