1. Original Registration Email
Register for Lighthouse Business Manager quickly and easily through your DBA business or owner email address.
- First, look in your email on the email address that you registered with Shift4 during your account creation and search for an email from Lighthouse.
- This email should have the subject line: "[Your Business Name], welcome to the Lighthouse Business Management System!"
- After finding the email, open it, which should look like the example below. Click on the Create Account ( Note: this does not create a new merchant account this is your login for Lighthouse Business Managar) button at the bottom of the email to be sent to the registration page.
Tip: If you can’t find the email, your account may not be ready yet for the usage of Lighthouse. The email should be sent shortly after your merchant account is approved. - After you click on Create Account and go to the Lighthouse Registration page, fill out the fields as shown below.
- Once you input all the appropriate information into the system, click on Register and you will be taken to the Lighthouse login page. Input the email address and password you just used to register your account, and voila, you are now using Lighthouse Business Manager!
2. Self-Registration Using Lighthouse Website

Another way for you to create a Lighthouse account is by going to shift4.com and clicking Login, which will direct you to lh.shift4.com. Then, select the Create Account button.
- Once opened, the Create Account menu will appear, asking for the email address for the account. Input the email you originally signed up with (must be DBA or Owner’s email) to register with into the text box and then click the Create Account button as shown below.
- Once you select Create Account, an email will be sent to the email address you inserted into the Create Account field. The email will come from notifications@shift4payments.com with the subject line “Lighthouse Account Invitation."
- From there, click the link provided inside the email to register their account.
- There will be a registration form that will open up inside that link, as shown below. Fill out the fields on the form, and then press Register.
- After selecting Register, the Lighthouse login screen will appear. Input the email address and password you submitted into the registration form, and Lighthouse will now be accessible for your account. From there, you can go to the Users options and attach the Merchant ID Numbers (MIDs) of your accounts to attach your businesses to Lighthouse.

3. Resetting Password in Lighthouse
The process of resetting your Lighthouse password is quick and easy.

In the event that you need to change your password, go to www.shift4.com, click Login, and click on the Forgot Password button.

Input the email address that you generally use to sign in to Lighthouse, then press the Recover Account button.
- An email will be sent to the email address that you are trying to recover. You will receive the below message:
- The email will be from Lighthouse [no-reply@harbortouch.com] with the subject line “Lighthouse Password Reset Request.”
- Click the Reset Password link within the email. This link will take you back to Lighthouse, where you can enter a new password. This password will need to be confirmed by inputting it once more into the Confirm Password option. Once both fields are filled, and the passwords match, select Reset Password.
Internal:
If this process does not work, please verify and check the email address the merchant is using. If the merchant is still unable to sign in to the account or reset the password, the merchant will need to speak with the owner of the account to see if the user profile was created correctly and to ensure that the email address being used is correct.
If you already speaking with the owner and have confirmed the email addresses attempted to register are not the email addresses on file (DBA/owner), the merchant must speak with our Risk Validation Team to verify their identity before an email address can be changed to ultimately allow self-registration for LH.
