What is causing this Error?
The "Error sending Kitchen Display System config: Failed to connect to /<ip_address>:9100" error occurs when pressing the Send Config button on SkyTab POS.
This can occur if the IP address does not match the settings for the Kitchen Display System on SkyTab POS or if the System is not connected to the network.
How do I resolve this Error?
Note: You must have manager permissions to complete this procedure.
Verify the IP Address in the Error Message Matches the IP Address of the Kitchen Display Device
Note: The IP address of the System is found by tapping on the gear icon near the bottom left of the System screen.
The IP Address is listed under App & Device Details in the App Information section.
If the IP address does not match:
- Log in to your SkyTab POS and navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers.
- Select your System from the list of printers.
- Tap Edit Printer/System Setup.
- In the IP field, verify the IP address matches the IP address of the System device.
- Tap Send Config when you are finished.
Verify the System Is Connected to the Network
If the System is not connected to the network, log in to your router to verify the connection. Contact Support if you are unsure of how to do this.
Perform a Reboot on the System
- Make sure the IP address of the System is set to static. Refer to the Configure the IP Address for the System article for more information.
- Completely power off the System, wait 10+ seconds, and power the System back on.
