Troubleshoot Modifier Skip in Shift4 Dine

Symptom	Likely Cause	Resolution
Bartender still sees optional modifier prompts	One or both settings are missing	Confirm the bartender's job has Modifier Skip enabled and the item is flagged as a Modifier Skip Item. Both must be set.
Required modifier prompt still appears even though a default is set	One or both settings are missing	Review the modifier set configuration. If a required set requires 2 selections and only 1 default is set, the prompt will still appear. Ensure defaults satisfy the full minimum selection count.
Settings applied in Shift4 Customer Hub Multi-Location Management, but not taking effect on the Workstation	Changes made but not published	Make sure to publish the menu after configuring Modifier Skip settings.
Server is no longer seeing modifier prompts for bar items	The server's job was accidentally given the Modifier Skip permission	Review the server job configuration in the Shift4 Customer Hub and remove the Modifier Skip permission if it is present.
