What is Marketplace Menu Management?
It's a redesigned tool within Shift4's Dine Location Management solution that lets you build, manage, and publish your menus to your online ordering channel and all connected third-party delivery platforms from one place.
Does this replace the existing Marketplace Menu Manager?
Yes. The new menu manager replaces the current tool with a simplified, more capable experience. Your existing menu data will be migrated as part of the transition.
What is a Menu Strategy?
A Menu Strategy is a reusable menu configuration — items, modifiers, availability, and pricing rules — that you define once and assign to as many locations as you'd like. When you update the strategy, those changes automatically apply to every location using it.
Can I use the same menu across all my locations?
Yes — that's one of the primary capabilities in this release. Create a Menu Strategy and assign it to any number of locations. Updates to the strategy propagate automatically, so you're never making the same change in multiple places.
Can I charge different prices on delivery apps than in my POS?
Yes. You can now set a pricing rule at the channel level — for example, increase all prices by a percentage or fixed amount, rounded to the nearest cent increment you choose. The system calculates prices automatically across all items and modifiers. You can still set a specific price on any individual item if needed. Once the rule is in place, it's set and forget — base price changes flow through automatically.
Which delivery platforms are supported?
Marketplace integrates with all leading US third-party delivery services, as well as Shift4's in-house online ordering. International delivery integrations are not in scope for this release.
Do I need to re-enter all of my menu data?
No. Existing menu configurations will carry over. You'll be able to organize them into Menu Strategies as part of the transition, but you won't need to start from scratch.

Internal FAQs
What problem is this solving that the current Marketplace Menu Manager doesn't?
The current tool requires location-by-location configuration, lacks a shared strategy model, is overly complex to use, and requires manually setting prices per item per channel, with no rule-based automation. The new manager addresses all three.
Is this available for international customers?
No, Marketplace is a United States (US) product. International delivery integrations run through third-party integrators like Stream and are out of scope for this release.
Who is the target customer?
Both SMB and enterprise restaurant operators in the US who use Shift4's Marketplace solution for online ordering and/or third-party delivery integrations.
What's the primary feature launching?
Menu strategies, the ability to define a menu once and assign it across multiple locations, is the centerpiece of this release. Automated channel pricing rules and a simplified setup workflow are also included.
How does the new channel pricing work vs. what exists today?
Previously, operators could set prices per channel but had to do so manually for every item and modifier — there was no rule engine. The new pricing rules let operators define a formula (e.g., +15%, rounded to the nearest $0.05) at the channel level, which automatically calculates across all items. Manual per-item overrides are still supported for exceptions. Once set, the rule recalculates automatically as base prices change.
How should this be positioned to existing Marketplace customers?
Frame it as an upgrade to a capability they already use, delivered as part of the new Dine Location Management solution. Acknowledge the pain of the current tool and position this as Shift4's investment in making multi-channel menu management truly manageable. Lead with menu strategies for any multi-location customer and pricing rules for any operator currently managing delivery upcharges manually.
Will the old Menu Manager still be accessible after launch?
Not for Dine Location Management merchants. The new manager replaces the existing tool. The Marketplace Menu Manager will remain in place for merchants using the Dine Legacy Configuration Management solution.
What should sales do when customers ask about international delivery?
Confirm that Marketplace is US-only at launch. International customers using Stream or other integrators should be engaged separately and not positioned on this product.
