What is causing this Error?
When a modifier set is inactive on the POS but has not been updated in Online Ordering, customers may attempt to place orders using that modifier set. The order will be rejected by the POS, with the error "MODIFIERS_NOT_AVAILABLE Modifier set is inactive."
How do I resolve this Error?
While the order causing the error cannot be corrected, the underlying issue can be corrected in one of two ways, depending on your intentions with the modifier set:
- If the modifier set should be inactive, you should update Menu Manager to reflect the change.
- If the modifier set was made inactive by mistake, you should re-activate the set in SkyTab POS.
Update Online Ordering to Reflect an Inactive Modifier Set
To correct this issue by updating Menu Manager, use the following steps:
- Log in to Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM).
- Navigate to Marketplace > Menu Manager.
- Do the following based on whether the green "Import from POS" button is enabled:
- If the button is enabled, select Import from POS.
- You need to complete whatever pending action (add new item/mods/mod set), then select Next and Save to complete the import process.
- When you are finished, select Publish Menu.
- If the button is not enabled, you need to make a change (add a new item/modifier/modifier set, then deactivate it) to get the button to activate.
- If the button is enabled, select Import from POS.
Note: This should only be done in situations when the new inactive item/modifier/modifier set CANNOT be deleted from SkyTab POS.
