Use the Kitchen Display System All Day Feature

Description: The Kitchen Display System (KDS) All Day feature is designed to show all of the production items (Prep View) or the menu items (Expo View) due at a given station for all currently open orders. This gives the employee a count of how many items must be prepared.

Note: For the Kitchen Display System (KDS) All Day Prep View to work properly, you must create a preparable item in Lighthouse. Expo View does not require any configuration. 

Important: In KDS version 1.25.0, the All Day feature only functions in Full-Screen mode and in Column view.

1. Begin by tapping the All Day button at the bottom of your KDS screen.
2. The All Day View is pinned to the left side of the display, so if you page through orders, the view will always stay pinned to the screen.
3. When using All Day, you will see counts updated in real-time as you finish an item for an order and mark it as fulfilled.
4. Selecting a View option (Expo or Prep) at the top of the All Day panel will adjust the items shown based on the following:

Expo View

• Tap Expo in the All Day panel.
• Expo View will show a calculated total for all the menu Items by name, in alphabetical order, for all open tickets on the station.
  

Prep View

• Tap Prep in the All Day panel.
• Prep View will show a calculated total of Preparable Items as configured in Lighthouse for all open tickets on the station.
