Description: Learn the process for pending/processing batch statuses in Lighthouse Transaction Manager
The pending/processing batch status is a feature of Lighthouse Transaction Manager (LTM) that places the batch(s) into a queue when experiencing issues reaching the processor during settlement. This is most common when the processor is performing maintenance. The batch may submit itself to the processor within 24 hours after the original submittal.
Batch Status: Processing
For processing batches, you can only wait 24 hours and have no options to resubmit, as it has already established a link to the processor. If, after 24 hours, the processing batch has not finished settling, treat it like a suspended batch and validate with the processor that it was not received before resubmittal.
Batch Status: Pending
You can handle pending batches by waiting 24 hours for them to process on their own, or we can assist you in validating if you can resubmit them to the processor. To resubmit a pending batch, you will need to validate how much communication has occurred with the processor.
To do this, locate the pending batch in LTM by going to the Transactions tab and then selecting Archived Batches. A list of months you have closed batches for display. The pending/processing batch will change the color of the month status box from green to yellow.
Select the affected month to see the month broken down into individual daily batches. The pending batch is also highlighted by a yellow box. Select the yellow batch to be taken to the Archive Summary page.
The Archive Summary page states either pending or processing, depending on what is occurring with this batch. To find out if this batch can be resubmitted, select the blue View Notes option to see the Archive Notes page.
The Archive Notes displays a section called Notes on the right. If blank, like in the picture below, the batch can be resubmitted by selecting the Reattempt Batch Submittal option on the same page.
If any notes are listed here, the batch is already communicating to the processor and should not be resubmitted. We advise you to wait 24 hours for it to settle into the processor. Once 24 hours have passed, if the batch is still pending, confirm which portion of the batch was received by the processor. If all noted batches were confirmed received and no errors show after this, it is safe to resubmit the batch to have our system pick up where it left off.
- Should you resubmit the batch and it returns to pending, you would want to wait 24 hours before attempting to resubmit it again.
- Should you resubmit the batch and it turns the status box green, you have successfully resubmitted the batch to the processor.
