Description: Learn how to add a guest or remove a guest on SkyTab POS.
You can add guests (or seats) to a ticket to organize items by the person who ordered them. This makes it easier to:
- Group items by guest
- Serve each guest accurately
- Split the check at the end of the transaction
Add a Guest from the Order Entry Screen
- Log in to SkyTab POS.
- Create a new ticket or open an existing ticket.
- With the ticket open, tap the kebab menu (3 dots) from the upper right corner.
- In the menu, use Guest to adjust the number of guests.
- Tap "+" (plus sign) to add a guest.
- Tap "+" (plus sign) to add a guest.
Any new items added after this will be assigned to the newly created guest by default.
Add a Guest from the Manage Ticket Screen
You can also add a guest directly from the Manage Ticket screen.
- Go to the Manage Ticket screen.
- Tap + Add Guest/Seat at the bottom of the ticket.
- If multiple tickets are open, tap the + Add Guest/Seat button on the specific ticket where you want to add the guest.
- The ticket does not need to be selected to use this button.
Remove a Guest From a Ticket
- Open the ticket.
- Tap the kebab menu.
- In the menu, use Guest to adjust the number of guests.
- Tap "-" (minus sign) to remove a guest.
- Tap "-" (minus sign) to remove a guest.
What Happens When You Remove a Guest
- SkyTab POS removes the last guest on the ticket.
- If that guest has items assigned, those items automatically move to the previous guest (for example, Seat 3 items move to Seat 2).
If the ticket has already been sent to the kitchen, tap Send again to ensure the updated guest count prints correctly.
