Log In to Shift4 Duo

Note: You need to be clocked in at a Shift4 Dine POS terminal before taking orders on Shift4 Duo.

To log into Shift4 Duo, enter your PIN using the number pad on the screen. When you are finished, select the checkmark in the lower right.

Your PIN for Shift4 Duo is the same PIN you use to log into Shift4 Dine.

Log Out of Shift4 Duo

Logging out of a Shift4 Duo device is not the same thing as clocking out of the Shift4 Dine Workstation. When your shift is over, you need to return to a workstation to clock out.

When you are finished using your Shift4 Duo device, you should log out of the device.

To log out:

1. Begin by selecting your name in the upper left corner of the screen.

2. At the bottom of your profile, select Log out.
   

3. When prompted by the device, confirm that you wish to log out.

Error “443 Clock In and Try Again” Troubleshooting

If an employee attempts to log into Shift4 Duo without first clocking in at the Shift4 Dine Workstation, the Shift4 Duo device will display “443 clock in and try again." Users need to be clocked in at a Shift4 Dine Workstation before taking orders on Shift4 Duo (PAX A800 or PAX A930).
