Description: The Transactions landing page displays near-real-time transaction data, including current (unsettled) and historic (settled) transactions.
Using tools located at the top of the page, operational deep dives can be performed to search for specific data sets, which narrows down the transactions list.
Data can be viewed on the screen or exported if desired.
Accessing the Transactions Page
To navigate to the Transactions Page section, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM) and select Transactions from the left navigation menu. The Transactions section will expand.
- Select All Transactions from the sub-menu shown.
Using the Transactions Page
The Transaction Page allows a user to choose what data they want to see and how they access it by the use of filters, search options and export tools found in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Additional details can also be seen by selecting an individual transaction from the list. Once selected, a pop-up will appear on the right side of the screen.
The Transaction Page contains the following columns:
# | Column Name | Description |
1 | Date | Date and time when the transaction took place |
2 | Merchant Reference | Transaction identifier from the merchant |
3 | Risk | Risk status of the transaction (e.g. Approved) |
4 | Acquirer Response | Raw response code sent by the acquirer (e.g. 00-Approved) |
5 | Customer | Name of the customer who performed the transaction |
6 | Email address of the customer who performed the transaction | |
7 | Credit Card | Shows an icon of the type of card (e.g. Amex) and the last for digits of the card. |
8 | Amount | Total amount of the transaction |
9 | Type | Type of payment (e.g. Sale) |
10 | Order Status | Status of the transaction (e.g. Settled, Unsettled etc) |
11 | Transaction ID | Unique card association identifier per transaction |
Filtering Transactions
To start diving into the data, first, select a filter you wish to use. At the top left of the screen, click the Filter option and select from the following available filters:
- Status
- Settled
- Unsettled
- Risk
- Approved
- Decline
- Review
- Verified
- Type
- Auth
- Sale
- Refund
- Recurring
- Void
- Transaction Amount (Range)
- Min Amount ($) to Max Amount ($)
Once you have your filters in place, next set the time period you wish to run your query on.
The Transaction Page will automatically refresh once you have selected the period.
Sorting Transactions
The data displayed on the Transaction Page can be arranged to sort by a specific column.
By default, the sort order is by date, but clicking on a specific column header will change the data to sort by that column instead.
For example, by clicking the column header ‘Amount’ the data on the screen will be arranged with the largest amount first.
Selecting the column header again will change the sort order to start with the smallest amount first.
Data can be sorted by the following columns:
- Acquirer Response
- Customer
- Credit Card
- Amount
Searching Transactions
In the top right corner of the main Transaction Page window, a magnifying glass symbol is available to allow a user to search.
By clicking the search icon, the user is presented with the option to type in the search criteria.
The options to search on are:
- Merchant Reference
- Customer
- Credit Card (last four digits)
Note: The transaction search function will go back as far as one year.
Transaction Details
When a deeper dive is required, the Transaction Page allows a user to do that via the Transaction Page Slider. This tool expands the data of a specific transaction by introducing a pop-up window on the right side of the screen.
To view the additional transaction data, simply click on the transactional row, anywhere in that row.
Once expanded, the Transaction Page Slider will show additional details about the transaction.
This includes:
- Date: Date on which the transaction took place
- Customer: Name of the customer who performed the transaction
- Card Token: Unique identifier used in place of the credit card number
-
Email: Customer’s email address
- Note: If a customer’s email address has been previously flagged in the Manage Blocked Data tool, an indicator will show next to the customer email address.
- Order Status: Status of the transaction (e.g. Settled, Unsettled etc)
- Order Type: Payment type (e.g. Sale, Refund)
-
Risk Score: Total risk score made from a combination of risk rules set for the location
- Manage Blocked Data: A link to the tool that allows a user to manage trust and block rules for the location.
- Consistency Rules: Breakdown to show the individual risk rules triggered and their score
To close the Transaction Slider click on the X in the top right corner of the screen.
Exporting Transactions
The Transactions Page data can be exported to a local device by clicking on the download icon located in the top right corner of the main Transaction Page screen.
Note: The data exported to a local device will be the data that is being viewed on the Transaction Page at the time the export is created.
Therefore if a smaller subset of data is preferred, then a user should use the search, filter and period functions to narrow down the results.
When downloading to a local device, the following file formats are supported:
- CSV
- Excel
