Connect the Wireless Access Point
The installation of this device is simple.
- Locate one of the open (Local Area Network) LAN or LAN/Wide Area Network (WAN) ports on your TP-Link router and connect the Cat5/6 Ethernet cable.
Note: This step can be performed on either the TP-Link switch or router, if the switch is present.
Important: Do not plug this cable into the router's WAN port. - Connect the other end of the Cat5/6 Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the second port of the Power over Ethernet (PoE) adapter.
Note: A PoE adapter sends power directly through the Cat5/6 Ethernet cable to the device from a remote location. - Connect a second Cat5/6 Ethernet cable to the first port on the Ethernet adapter.
- Connect the other end of the second Cat5/6 Ethernet cable to the port on the TP-Link Omada Access Point.
- Connect the power cable to the PoE adapter located on the back side, and plug the other end into the power outlet.
