Overview

Fast Quantity Entry allows POS users to quickly enter item quantities by selecting a quantity first and then selecting the item.

How Fast Quantity Entry Works

Instead of repeatedly tapping an item or opening the quantity override screen, Fast Quantity Entry lets you:

• Tap a quantity button
• Tap the menu item you want to add

The selected quantity is applied automatically to the item.

Fast Quantity Entry can be enabled for:

• Departments
• Favorites
• Display Groups (configured in Lighthouse Business Manager)

How Fast Quantity Entry Helps

• Reduces the number of touches required per order
• Improves accuracy and reduces entry errors
• Speeds up the order entry process
• Allows staff to spend more time interacting with guests

Enable Fast Quantity Entry for Departments

1. Log in to SkyTab POS and navigate to Manager > Settings > Menu > Departments.
2. Select the department you want to edit.
3. Enable Display Quantity Buttons under Fast Quantity Buttons.
   
4. Tap Save. 
5. Repeat for additional departments.

Note: Fast Quantity Entry for Departments can also be enabled in LBM (SkyTab Settings > Menu >Departments).

Enable Fast Quantity Entry for Favorites

1. On SkyTab POS, navigate to Manager > Settings > Menu > Favorites.
2. Enable Display Quantity Buttons at the top of the window.
   
3. Tap Save. 
4. Repeat for additional favorites as needed.

Enable Fast Quantity Entry for Display Groups on LBM

1. Log in to LBM.
2. Navigate to SkyTab Settings > Menu > Display Groups.
   
3. Edit an existing display group or select Add Display Group.
4. Enable Display Quantity Buttons.
   
5. Select Save.

Use Fast Quantity Entry at the POS

1. On SkyTab POS, open a ticket.
2. Tap the desired quantity.
   
3. Tap the item to add it to the ticket.
   

The ticket will display the item with the selected quantity (for example, Coke – 4 × $5.00).

Additional Notes

• The maximum quantity that can be entered is 999.
• Use the "Clear" button to remove the currently selected quantity.
• You can enter a maximum quantity of 999
• Use the 'Clear' button to remove the quantity currently entered
