Description: The Settlement Report in Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM) provides a high-level overview of daily batch details.
The Settlement Report gives users a clear view of their finances by showing both the gross amount and net payout after program fees. For Advantage Program users, this report is especially helpful. It allows them to easily see the benefit they are getting from the program fees collected.
How to Access the Report
- Login to LBM and select Reporting.
- Select Processing.
- Search for “Settlement.”
What the user can do with this information
The Settlement Report empowers users to gain a clear picture of their daily transactions, associated bank fees, and final net income. For examples:
- Advantage Reporting: Advantage Program users can easily compare advantage fee gains against Shift4 banking fees to analyze the impact of the program.
- Analyze Daily Net Profit Amount: The user can analyze the net amount (final settled amount) to understand their daily income after accounting for bank fees, chargebacks, and refunds.
Definitions
- Batch Number: Unique ID for the transaction batch
- Batch Closed date: The date this batch of payments was finalized.
- Transactions Type: Transactions category
- Advantage Program: Subset of Gross showing total collected from Dual Pricing or Supplemental Fee on SkyTab.
- Gross Amount: Total sales transactions include all additional tips and fees to the customer.
- Bank Fees: Total amount removed from the merchant for services provided. E.g., terminal fees, fees per card, etc.
- Net Amount: Total of all sales transactions reported in a in a single day after any bank fee deductions have been removed.
- Transaction Count: Number of transactions
- Payout: Total of all transaction events reported in a single day. Includes Net sales amount, refunds, and chargebacks.
