Description: Learn how to install and setup SNBC BTP-S80 Printer for Future POS.
- Plug the power supply into the printer and into a wall outlet.
- Plug the USB cable into the printer and into an available usb port on the POS system.
- On the POS system, open the Epson™ virtual port driver from the start menu. Note: If you don't see the Epson™ virtual Port tool, you can download it onto the POS system with this link.
- Double-click on an available COM port (one without a yellow exclamation point)
- You should see the BTP-S80 listed in the usb devices section. Select the printer, then select the OK button.
Note: If the printer does not show up in the list in the Epson Virtual Port Assignment tool, follow this guide to update the firmware and USB Mode of the printer.
- You will see a progress bar, indicating the COM to USB conversion is in progress.
- Now you should see a printer icon next to the COM port you selected in step 4. Now select that COM port again, then select the Test Print button.
Note: The user should see a printout on the printer showing information about the Epson™ virtual port driver. If this prints successfully, we can now configure Future to send print jobs to the printer.
If the Test Print was not successful (you see an error that says Cannot Send Data), use this guide to check and update the firmware.
- Open Back Office > Settings > System Devices > Terminals > Receipt Printer.
- Set Printer Type to Epson TM-T88 USB, Comm Port = Com port selected in Step 4, Baud Rate = 115200, Parity =None, Bits = 8, Stop Bits = 1
- Select File > Save, then open the Front end of FuturePOS and send a test print.
