Overview
Transaction Manager is a comprehensive tool in Lighthouse Business Manager (LBM) that enables merchants to effortlessly locate, analyze, and compare single or grouped transactions close to real-time, with seamless search, sorting, and filtering options, customizable table views, and detailed transaction lifecycle tracking for informed decision-making.
You can find Transaction Manager by logging in to LBM and selecting the Transactions > All Transactions dropdown from the left navigation menu.
All Transactions
If you manage multiple locations, use the Locations filter to select and view specific location transactions. Place a check next to each location you wish to view and select Confirm. This filter will not appear if you only have a single location.
Transaction Manager provides a simple way to locate and analyze a single transaction or group of transactions. Transactions load close to real-time while offering seamless search, sorting, and filtering options based on key order and transaction attributes.
Users can easily customize table views and layouts to suit their preferences, ensuring a personalized experience.
Filtering Transactions
You can see a comprehensive view of transaction data by allowing users to set multiple filters to tailor the results to specific needs. Users can filter by:
- Period: Select a specific date range to analyze transactions within that timeframe.
- Transaction Status: Focus on transactions based on their current status (e.g., settled, unsettled, declined, failed, chargeback).
- Risk: Identify transactions with varying risk levels, enabling enhanced monitoring of potentially high-risk activities. This only works with direct integration of Shift4 with our risk provider.
- Order Type: Sort transactions by different order types (auth, sale, refund, void, non-sale/info) to understand patterns and performance across categories.
- Total Amount: Filter by transaction amount to focus on high-value transactions or to analyze spending patterns.

- Batch Number: Filter by batch number to review transactions processed together, facilitating batch-level analysis.
- Settlement ID: Filter by the settlement identifier to locate transactions associated with a specific settlement record. Useful for reconciliation with bank deposits.
- Entry Method: Filter transactions based on how the payment was entered, such as manual entry, magnetic stripe, chip (EMV), or contactless.
- Card Brand: Filter transactions by the card network brand, such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
- 3DS Liability Shift: Filter transactions based on whether liability for fraud-related chargebacks has shifted to the card issuer as a result of 3D Secure authentication.
- Card Type: Filter transactions according to the type of card used, such as debit, credit or a gift card.

Custom Reports
Another key feature is the ability to create and edit custom reports. You can do this by selecting the three dots in the upper right corner and selecting the column data you want to view (see the Data Table View Fields section below for a full list of available fields and their descriptions).
Select the View button to reload the data to fit your custom report needs. You can easily download this custom report as a CSV or an Excel file. Use the Save As Template button to save your view as a template so that you can access it quickly next time.
Transactions Summary
The Transactions Summary shows comprehensive information about the transaction, the payment method used, the customer who initiated the transaction, the account verification response, and more.
On this page, you will be able to perform a refund/adjustment of the transaction as well as cloning a transaction.
Additionally, you will also find the event log, which shows where in the transaction lifecycle this specific transaction is, as well as related transactions by payment method, email, customer reference, and more.
You can search and filter transactions across multiple locations and/or location groups.
Events show the lifecycle of the transaction from the initial verification and/or authorization through to settlement and beyond.
For details about refunds, voids, and adjustments, please visit Perform Transaction Adjustments.
Itemized Receipts
For eligible integrations, you can find itemized receipts as part of the Transactions Summary under Transactions > All Transactions. Search for your transaction using any of the available filters. Select your desired transaction from the list that is generated.
The itemized receipt will generate on the right side of the screen.
New Transaction
Use New Transaction from the left navigation menu to create a sale transaction.
You can fill out Basic Transaction Information, Purchasing Card Information, Customer Information, and Miscellaneous Notes here. Select Submit to create the sale.
