Installing Stand With a Wi-Fi Connection
Required Tools and Components
- A35 PIN Pad
- L1400 POS System
- T3400 POS Hub
- Phillips screwdriver
- A35 Stand
- 1 M5 X 8mm long screw
- 1 USB A to C cable
- If the system is being installed using Wi-Fi, please use the USB A to C cable provided with the PIN Pad and plug it into the back of the A35.
- Align the backplate on the back of the A35 and screw in the M5 X 8mm long screw to secure the backplate to the device.
- Snap the A35 PIN Pad onto the stand and use the sticky back adhesive to secure the device to the countertop.
- Plug the USB-A cable into the hub connected to the Kiosk station to provide power and configure the device for Wi-Fi connectivity.
Internal:
Connect to Wi-Fi
Set the A35 device to connect to the site’s wireless network.
- On the Home screen, select the blue Settings button.
- Enter the password, then select OK. The default is the current date in an MM/DD/YYYY format or pax9876@@.
- Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled or toggled on.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select your local network.
Important: It must be on the same network as Kiosk L1400. - Enter the network’s password, then select Connect.
Configure Static IP
- Return to Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select your Wi-Fi network.
- Tap the pencil icon to edit at the top right.
- In the modal window, tap Advanced options (below Show Password).
- Scroll down to IP settings, and select Static.
- Scroll down to IP Address and enter the same necessary IP information.
- Select Save.
Installing Stand With an Ethernet Connection
Required Tools and Components
- A35 PIN Pad
- L1400 POS System
- T3400 POS Hub
- Phillips screwdriver
- A35 Stand
- 1 M5 X 8mm long screw
- 1 USB A to C cable
- 1 USB C “squid” cable connection
- If the system is being installed via Ethernet, please use the “cquid” USB-C cable.
- Align the backplate on the back of the A35 and screw in the M5 X 8mm long screw to secure the backplate to the device.
- Snap the A35 PIN Pad onto the stand and use the sticky back adhesive to secure the device to the countertop.
- Plug the USB A to C cable into the “cquid” cable, as seen below.
- Plug the USB cable into the hub to ensure it receives power, or you can use the brick provided to plug into a wall outlet.
- Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the red port of the "squid" cable, and the other end into the 2nd ethernet port on the hub.
