Configure Label Printers to Print One Label Per Item With SkyTab POS

Overview

When this setting is turned on, the Label Printer prints a separate label for each unit of an item ordered. For example, suppose a barista at a café rings in three Cappuccinos. In that case, the printer will print three individual labels—one for each Cappuccino—instead of a single label that says 'Cappuccino x3.'

Why Use This Setting?

Printing individual labels can help with:

• Packaging and labeling grab-and-go items (e.g., bottled drinks, bakery items)
• Organizing delivery or pickup orders
• Reducing confusion in back-of-house prep workflows

How it Works

When enabled:

• Items with a quantity greater than one are unrolled into separate print jobs.

• One label is printed per unit ordered.

When disabled:

• The printer groups the total quantity onto a single label (e.g., “Cookie x4”).

How to Enable 

1. Log in to your SkyTab POS and navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware.
2. Select the Printers/KDS tab.
3. Select your Label Printer.
4. Select the Advanced tab.
5. Check the Print quantities individually checkbox.
   Note: "Print items individually" must also be checked.
   
6. Tap Save.
