Benefits of the Annual Program Fee
- Includes guaranteed equipment replacement on equipment affected through normal wear and tear.
Note: This charge does not cover fire/water damage or theft. - Shipment of replacement or upgrade equipment is free of charge to the merchant, including instances of hard-downs requiring overnight shipping.
- Upgrade Priority: Any merchant paying an Annual Program Fee will be added to the priority upgrade list.
- If an additional terminal or PIN pad is needed, merchants can work with support to place a request.

Note: POS accounts (SkyTab & Legacy) will be billed an Annual Program Fee. Historically, some POS accounts were billed, but not all. This change will ensure all POS accounts are billed an annual fee up to four devices for add-ons such as SkyTab Mobile and/or POS workstations.

What is the Annual Program Fee?
- The Annual Program Fee ensures that Shift4 can provide Terminals and PIN Pads without upfront costs. This fee is billed only to United States (US) End-to-End Shift4 merchants.
- Merchants billed this fee are eligible to receive upgrades to current or new terminals if the equipment malfunctions, and standard shipping. Overnight shipping will only be used in hard-down situations.
- Note: This fee does not cover fire/water damage or theft.
- Any merchant paying an Annual Program Fee will be added to the priority upgrade list.
How much is the Annual Program Fee?
Merchants are billed $250 per Device (up to a maximum of four for $1000) annually.
