Description: Learn how to add and configure an Epson TM-L100 label printer in the POS system, set the device model, connection type, assigned station, and perform a test print to ensure proper setup.
Note: If you haven’t yet connected your label printer to the network, install and connect it first before configuring it in the POS system.
Configure the Label Printer
Note: If you are replacing the printer, no configuration in the system is needed, as the new printer only needs to be connected to the same Ethernet cable. The software will connect to it using the same settings.
- On SkyTab POS, navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers/KDS, and select Add New Printer in the lower-left corner of the screen. This will generate a pop-up that guides you through the printer setup.
- Enter the printer name, for example: "Label Printer". If you're setting up an additional printer, enter a different name to avoid duplicating the previous one.
- Select the connection type IP.
- Next to IP, enter 192.168.213.100. If it's a second device in your location, then enter 192.168.213.101, and the last number increases by one for additional devices.
- Under "Device Model", select Generic Epson Compatible.
- Under "Device will be used for:", select Printing Tickets.
- "Device Type: Thermal" is selected automatically and cannot be altered.
- "Assigned Station: None" is selected automatically and cannot be altered.
- Toggle on Cutter Enabled.
- Select Save.
Note: You can perform a test print by selecting Test Print to ensure the printer is set up correctly before selecting Save. If there are multiple stations in the business, each label printer will need to be configured separately.
- Once you've named the printer and specified its IP address and model, proceed to configure it under the General tab with item assignments as usual, then select the Label Printer checkbox.
Note: If you don't see the checkbox, try going to another settings page and then back to refresh it. - This will display a new set of options under the Advanced tab, specifically for label printing.
