Description: Learn about the Order Number displayed to customers when an order is completed on SkyTab Kiosk. This number helps customers and staff identify orders and corresponds directly to the Ticket Number on SkyTab POS.
Important: There is no separate Kiosk-specific order number. The Kiosk always uses the Ticket Number generated by the POS.
Where Customers See the Order Number
Customers will see their Order Number in the following locations:
Completion Screen
After checkout, the Kiosk displays a “Complete” screen with the Order Number prominently shown. This is the POS Ticket Number.
Receipt (Printed, Email, or SMS)
The same Order Number appears on any receipt issued by the Kiosk, including:
- Printed receipts
- Email receipts
- SMS receipts
Why This Matters
Using the POS Ticket Number across both the Kiosk and POS ensures:
- Consistency between systems
- Easier order identification for staff
- Reduced customer confusion at pickup
Display Order Numbers Setting (SkyTab POS)
To locate this setting on SkyTab POS:
- Log in to SkyTab POS.
- Navigate to Manager > Settings > Tickets.
- Locate the toggle for “Display Order Numbers.” When enabled, the POS may display additional order numbering internally.
Regardless of whether this setting is enabled or disabled, the SkyTab Kiosk will always:
- Display the Ticket Number on the completion screen
- Print the Ticket Number on customer receipts
This behavior is intentional and ensures a consistent customer experience while preventing confusion at pickup.
