Consumer Receipts in Spain

Printed receipts in Spain include a QR code at the top of the receipt.

This QR code allows customers to verify that their invoice has been registered with the Tax Authority.

Customer Invoice Verification

Customers can scan the QR code on the receipt using their mobile device to verify the invoice on the Tax Agency’s portal.

After scanning the QR code, customers may see one of the following results:

Green Check

• The invoice is registered with the tax authorities.
• No action is required.

Yellow Warning

• The invoice has not been found yet.
• This can occur if the POS was offline at the time the ticket was closed or if invoices are still syncing.
• The invoice will appear once synchronization is complete.
